I made a reservation through Resy to have an early dinner here. Only a countertop was available, so we had dinner earlier and got a standard table. It was easy to find; we did get dropped off, so I'm not sure about parking. Upon walking in, we were greeted and shown right away to our seats. It didn't really get full the 2 hours we were there, so I'm not sure why only the countertop was available when trying to make a reservation. Also, I noticed the dress code wasn't really enforced, as the website and text stated. Moving on, our server, Alberto, was very nice. The food was delicious, and the drinks were pretty good. The only issue I kept having was the flies, followed by mosquitoes, which made it a bit uncomfortable, at least for me.

My go to steak place in Dallas. Their dry aged is amazing and the sides match in quality. I love the creamed spinach and potatoes au gratin. Solid wine list or cocktail like an old fashioned if that's your bent.

3/7/2015 I've been here 5 times now - and it is one of my preferred spots on this side of town. I usually eat at the common high top tables up front or at the bar - since I never seem to be able to get a reservation in the main dining area when I call in. Parking is very easy- either DIY or valet. My first visit was the night that Tesar and the DMN food critic got into it on Twitter. So, the room was abuzz with "stuff" going on. Tesar came out into the bar area, but only chatted with the two really hot girls at the table beside us. Go figure. I wanted to give him an attaboy and shake his hand - but he shined me on. Anyway, it's the food that's important. I have had both the old school and new school steaks - and I've got to say, the new school cuts really rock and are a great value too. The bacon sampler is really good - especially the bacon that comes from the Iberian black pig that eats acorns in the forest! It's magical. Best bacon ever! Absolutely melts in your mouth. There's no other bacon like it. On my third visit - I upgraded the sampler to be all Iberian pig. That cost a lot. So does that breed of pig. Sooooiiiieee! Drinks are special - but bartenders are sometimes inconsistent on their mixology. On one occasion I had possibly the best classic daquiri I've ever had. On another occasion, made by a different bartender - it was not good. Bar service is sometimes slow, but they're all knowledgeable, attentive and likable. You do not have to order the $50 - $100+ steaks to have a great meal. The new school cuts are what make me able to come here 2 or 3 times more often than I normally could. They are spectacularly delicious. So is the truffle pasta! Very approachable atmosphere that deserves kudos for not being like all the other steakhouses in Dallas. I plan on eating here at least once a month now.

I chose Knife for a special dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the ambiance to the food, every aspect of our evening was memorable. The dining area at Knife perfectly encapsulates an energetic yet intimate atmosphere. The music, carefully selected and played at just the right volume, enhanced our dining experience without overpowering our conversation. This thoughtful balance contributed greatly to the pleasant and engaging environment. Our server, Alberto, was a standout. His friendly demeanor, combined with his attentiveness and extensive knowledge about the steaks, significantly elevated our dining experience. His expertise in explaining the different cuts and preparations made choosing our meal both educational and enjoyable. For our main course, my wife and I each indulged in the 6oz petite filet, which was cooked to perfection. The John's Mac and Cheese and roasted carrots were our chosen sides, and they complemented the steaks beautifully. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, while the carrots added a lovely roasted flavor to the meal. The highlight of the evening was the birthday dessert, a beautifully crafted white sponge cake soaked in blueberry, with a middle layer of passion fruit panna cotta and a top of vanilla custard. This dessert was not just a treat for the taste buds but also a work of art. It was incredibly delicious, and I was lucky enough to share it with my wife. In summary, Knife provided an exceptional dining experience. The combination of a great atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff, exquisitely prepared food, and a standout birthday dessert made our celebration truly special. Knife is more than just a restaurant; it's a place where special moments are made even more memorable. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to celebrate an occasion or simply enjoy a fantastic meal.

We had an incredible dinner at Knife back in November and still haven't been able to finish writing the review until today. We had our reservations for 9:30pm because we were coming in from a show. Thankfully they were able to seat us earlier than our time. One of my biggest highlights of the night aside from the food, ambience, and the service was seeing Chef John Tesar. I did not want to disturb him while he was interacting with other guests but I was elated to just be in the room while he was there LOL. The steak was amazing and the mashed potatoes were divine. The other sides were good but not too memorable. The steak was actually the absolute highlight of the evening. It was very nice of them to bring out a cake for our celebration. I was very impressed with the service and can't wait to return if I am back in the Dallas area to try out the rest of the menu.

Came here for an evening with some friends and we were seated at a booth in the far corner. Great serveice great ambiance albeit being at a hotel just around the lobby. This had exceptional steak with a good ambience to boot as well as great service, and a great wine list. I enjoyed particularly the steak and the high-quality of the meat as well as the accompaniments. In particular the steak was dry aged, and had a marbling as well as a very smoky taste to it. The cooking temperature was perfect. This was a very enjoyable experience. The tour if the meat cellar was educational I highly recommend this place
